Spring Break
Empowerment Programs!

Five unforgettable days of friendship and self

“We all trusted each other. I could say anything without being judged.”

“I signed up for Fire & Flower just as something to do but it ended up helping me through emotions that I didn’t know I needed help with. And it wasn’t in a sudden way like just addressing it. It was through time and being in touch with myself.”

Thanks to the growing support of our community and our profound desire to eliminate financial barrierst to paritcipation, we tested a pilot project and offered our Spring Break camps free of charge for the first time ever.  We are immensely proud of this shift and will once again be offering our camps free in Spring 2026.

Should you wish to participate in 2026, please know that we are a registered not-for-profit charity, and we kindly ask that families consider making a donation if possible. However if you are unable to donate, your family will NOT be excluded from participating in our camps.

Together, we are dedicated to empowering and mentoring girls and gender-diverse youth as they navigate the complex journey into womanhood and adulthood. Past participants of Fire & Flower day camps say we are the “BEST CAMP EVER!” because we create a space of radical acceptance for girls and gender-diverse youth to know, feel, see and express how amazing they are, just as they are, because they are.

We have 4 different empowerment programs, each exploring different themes and concepts related to young womanhood/adulthood. In every camp, learning is balanced with a daily dose of nature time, games and relevant crafts for each program. We also hold heart circles each day, providing space for vulnerability and sharing what is on our hearts.

In this time of big change in girls’ lives, we also involve adult caregivers to promote connection and communication in these special relationships. We ask one special adult to join us on Friday afternoon for special activities. 12:30-3pm for our 10-12 program; 1-3:30pm for our 12-14 program.

Our camps are named after birds of the Pacific Northwest to honour their relevance and symbolism to the Coast Salish peoples on whose unceded land we base our operations.

She loved it from beginning to end and came home excited and bubbling everyday. She felt comfortable and included which is rare for her in groups. This is a testament to the accepting and empowering atmosphere of Fire & Flower.

The program was above and beyond my expectations. My daughter flourished, developed a positive sense of herself and grew so much in just a week! Our bond is now so much stronger.
